Just in: Herman Cain who made a historic stop in Villages, Marion County Florida decides to end his campaign for President. Marion County Commission Chairman Stan McClain welcomed Presidential hopeful Herman Cain. Marion County Sheriff Candidate Chief of Staff Dan Kuhn and a host of local GOP officials filled the hall joining hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. Candidate Cain outlined his points of governance to standing applause. Support now goes to other delegates with Mitt Romney in the apparent lead coming into the Florida Primary Vote.

We concluded at that time the VCB was organized and accounted as a County department that was under the oversight of the County Administrator and was subject to the same internal operational, financial, purchasing and budgetary controls of any other department. Congressman Cliff Stearns joins with democrats in attempt to add cost and noise to Hybrid Autos. Solving a problem that may not exist. Adding to the cost of cars may kill the "Green Auto" industry. Critics tell of possible confusion for blind pedestrians leading to possible injuries of the sight impaired.
Electric Cars now are seen as the problem rather than the cure of Greenhouse Emissions. Requiring more oil and coal burning power plants, the electric car is now thought to be a net looser in the chase to reduce emissions. Much energy is lost in transmission causing additional hydro carbons to be expended in order to make an equal amount of energy to power an auto 1 mile. Now it appears that adding noise makers will add to the carbon footprint. Stearns receives a "F" from the respected Tax Watch Florida watchdog citizens group,
Congressman Cliff Stearns may have caused Millions of Tourist to cancel plans to visit Florida. Jumping on the bandwagon with President Obama, Congressman Stearns held multiple press conferences to get the word out claiming Disaster for Florida.
It now appears that the congressman's play for headlines may have been the actual event causing world wide tourist to think again about a vacation to Florida. Little or no Oil ever reached Florida Beaches but the widespread calls of alarm by Congressman Stearns in a tight Republican Primary race may have cost the average Floridian millions in lost tourism revenue to their state coffers.
The naming of a building for Cliff Stearns and 6 figure job offer for the congressman's wife Joan Stearns, both by CFCC's president, are seen as possible related timing, by some citizens. A federal funding arrangement at Dr. Dassance's CFCC, by Congressman Stearns to fund the start of a regional political collaboration, is considered by some citizens, as a possible conflict of interest.
Somethings got to give if we are to have a level EDC playing field. Ordinary citizens can't possibly compete with heavy tax funding of one side of the equation. The New EDC of Marion County is an attempt to gain representation for Marion County's citizens living out side Ocala.

The funding offer for Dr Dassance's effort to establish a Regional Political Collaboration known as Heart of Florida, and the hiring of Congressman Stearns' wife Joan, gives the appearance of conflict of interest. The naming of a part of the college the Cliff Stearns Educational Center does nothing to dispel the conflict of interest possibility. The Speaker Samsom funding and offer of 6 figure employment shows that these cosy arrangements are being looked at more closely. St Petersburg Times reported through Alex Leary of the times/Harald Tallahassee Bureau that much more is now expected from those in office holding a position of public trust. December of 2010 brought scathing comments from a Florida Grand Jury on Public corruption.

Naming rights of government and designations such as Springs Protection Zone or Scenic Roadway, kill Florida's Economy.
Where can you build? Which are Ugly Roadways, or Springs Pollution Zones?
Private citizens are crowded out of important government power when a privileged few are able to use tax payer funding for personal political power and personal income.
Harmless as it seams, naming rights and designations are at the core of expanding government.
Examples abound in Central Florida. Ocala is designated as the lead name for the Marion County Board of County Commissioners. No matter what Ocala/Marion County has claimed leadership of the City of Ocala. A small city with collapsing population, Ocala was once 60% of Marion County's population. Now Ocala is 17% and falling, but the control of Marion County is growing. Marion County will be hard pressed to take back naming rights of the County, but it can be done.
Public Trust requires special attention to the appearance of a Conflict of Interest.
CFCC using naming rights to trade favors gave the Ewers family of Ocala control of Marion County politics during their prime years. To avoid the Edifice Complex, republicans are floating the idea that 10 years after death is required for naming rights. Naming a bridge, road or building after a person in their prime political years gives government funded political power to a person that is difficult to match. Board membership comes, easy political office, bailout funding support such as occurred during the E-One financial melt down are possible subtle payback to politically active persons such as others with CFCC building naming rights. Funneling federal money into CFCC political campaigning to become a Regional Political Factor, Cliff and Joan Stearns received naming rights from Dr. Chick Dassance's CFCC and an offer of 6 figure employment for Joan Stearns. With Cliff Stearns name on the building and Joan Stearns employed as President Dessance's assistant, the advantage soon showed in the Federal funding of the Heart of Florida Political Collaboration to gain Regional Political Clout as the mission statement declares. See (Heart of Florida) Considerable County, City, State and Federal funding or endorsement are involved. Crowding out private enterprise and employment is the greatest cost seen by many.
Out of CFCC tax-payed programs provide multiple organizations to determine Public Policy, all while never actually running for office. The EDC of Ocala became solidly established with Dr Dessance as Chairman. Then came the Gainesville Alachua connection with the take over of regional political clout with the Marion County Legislative Delegation. Marion County Day became Alachua/Marion County Day, controlled by the Heart of Florida and the EDC promoting Alachua County and providing a channel for funding from Cliff Stearns in Earmarks many of which end up with CFCC collaboration partners. Now earmarks could be controlled by Joan Stearns and given by her husband Cliff Stearns. Great development by Dr. Dassance of governmental funded political power, all with never running for office.
While community service is important, using tax funded platform to create Public Policy Ocala based Public Policy Institute, Economic Development policy, EDC Ocala, Regional Political Clout, Heart of Florida is seen as a pattern of political control called a NGO, Non Governmental Organization where the lack of elected office guarantees unlimited power with no voice from the people.
Naming by designation such as "black bear highway, scenic road, springs protection, beautification project all ultimately reduce and/or stop growth and development. Designation of development outside of the City of Ocala as Sprawl is an EDC Killer!
Free naming rights of Marion County must end. Ocala may promote its self with our Marion County blessing however our name is not Ocala/Marion County.
Dr Dassance must return to the educational mission of CFC and leave public policy of Marion County, and Regional Political Clout to the citizens of Marion County. We don't have his $70, million dollar tax paid budget to work with and the political "crowding out" must end.
Cliff Stearns and Joan Stearns must look to ending the funding of CFC programs with tax payer funds while receiving employment and building naming rights. Big Conflict of Interest and Political Election boost can exist.
Florida State Agencies asked to stop wasting tax dollars on indoctrinating school children programs. Middle School Programs must stop. Industrial waste discharge is not going to be solved by programs such as WAV, the spin program targeting school children. Private Citizens are using business techniques to bring dysfunctional tax funded programs under scrutiny.
Water Czar Bob Burton called the Storm Water Contests and Industrial discharge programs "propaganda" by a select state funded political group using environmental concerns as a political tool. Industrial Utilities are better controlled by adults and state agencies charged with controlling Sewer Effluent and Storm-water discharge.
Governor Rick Scott's Economic Development Team is on track to save Florida's Economy. Tourism, Agriculture, Tech industry, and Housing Starts are key private business targets to protect. DCA for example has used political agenda regulations to halt economic progress. Economic Action Team Executive Director Don Browning has outlined a 10 point program to help Launch EDC Florida from His Florida Marion County base of operation.
The Legislature must stop FDEP and DCA if we are to rebuild the Florida Economy.
A false choice by FDEP calls for reduced growth at all levels except in cities. Hard left political groups and individuals are being organized by DCA and FDEP to stop or slow growth in Florida.
